Canada's largest and least populated region is the Northwest Territories; yet, it is the most spectacular to visit-year round! Where else can golfers enjoy 24 hours of sunlight to golf round-the-clock in June and July? The Northwest Territories span four time zones and includes many islands north of the Arctic Circle.
Visitors to the Northwest Territories can drive there via Alberta, British Columbia, or the Yukon. Rugged campers or four-wheel drive vehicles are the best mode of travel. Auto-tourists should plan on camping between population centers. There also are bus tours available for those who prefer to let someone else do the driving. Although hunting and fishing abound in the Northwest Territories, there are also wildlife preserves and sanctuaries where eco-tourists can enjoy birding, whale watching, or photographing many other species of animals including, muskoxen, wood buffalo, grizzly bears, moose, caribou, marten, polar bears, seals,and wolverines.

charter expeditions with guides and bush pilots to find
some little traveled remote lakes and streams. The Northwest Territories has
literally thousands of lakes
and streams - many of which are
unexplored and in the wilderness. The indigenous peoples, who are Cree and Eskimo depending on their location in the Northwest Territories, live in the population
centers along the coasts of the Hudson Bay and islands including, Baffin
Island.
