Montana has many different types of lodging for travelers. Vacationers can stay at exciting ski resorts, like Big Sky, where golfing, fishing, horseback riding, rock/mountain climbing, and hunting are available in the off-seasons. Billings has some interesting hotels while in Red Lodge visitors can stay at historic inns and bed and breakfasts. Other lodging alternatives include ranches, cabins, condos, time-shares, and camping in the national parks and national forests. Outdoor adventures prefer to backpack into the wilderness and do some primitive camping in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
