Honduras boasts rugged, craggy mountains, dense rainforests or cloud forests, and long stretches of pristine beaches. Eco-tourists are drawn to the thick cloud forests with all sorts of tropical flora and fauna as well as to the pine covered ridges near the beaches. Other visitors and outdoor adventurers enjoy trekking around the Mayan ruins, which are magnificent and near Copan.
