Georgia

Savannah RiverGeorgia, the Peach State, is a four seasons conference and vacation destination with excellent shopping, five-star dining, fine lodging, and interesting cultural events in Atlanta, which is a hub for many airlines. In northeastern Georgia eco-tourists, vacationers, and outdoor adventures can enjoy the scenic drives through the national forests in the Appalachian Mountains as well as hunting, hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, and rafting. Great golf courses abound in Georgia which has a long golfing season because of the mild climate. Historians enjoy searching for Civil War artifacts, visiting battlefields, following the paths of the Northern and Southern Armies through Georgia, and visiting Savannah, known for its culture, literature, and regional cuisine. Seafarers can follow the Georgia Coast along the Intercoastal Waterway while visitors, who prefer driving or biking, can follow the scenic routes along the coastal highways or travel inland to the Okefenokee Swamp and the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and Wilderness Area. The barrier islands along the Atlantic Ocean are beautiful and provide quiet romantic honeymoon and wedding destinations as well as getaways for beachcombers, bird watchers, and water sports enthusiasts who want to snorkel, swim, fish, and dive. Agri-tourists enjoy the diversity of Georgia agriculture, which includes harvesting peanuts and long growing seasons. In addition to flying to Atlanta, other cities are served by regular regional flights including Savannah. I-95 provides easy automobile access to the Peach State.
