Barbados
Travel Alert--Remember to take passports to any of the Caribbean, Central American, Mexican, and Canadian locations. Even children traveling with their parents need passports.
Barbados is a beautiful Caribbean coral island which emerged out of the see as a result of pre-historic volcanic activity. The beaches of Barbados range from fine white sand on the west coast to a rocky shoreline on the east coast. Because Barbados has coral reefs, it is the perfect vacation destination for scuba diving. Additionally, the trade winds provide a continuous breeze, making Barbados's tropical climate very pleasant year-round. Visitors planning a trip to Barbados should pack beachwear, scuba gear, and something special for the lively night life that the island offers.
Because Barbados is a coral island, it tends to be flat with great beaches, but there is some rolling terrain with tropical plants and flowers. Interestingly, its drinking water is very pure because of the "coral core," which has caves and underground lakes. In addition to enjoying the swimming and diving, visitors should explore Barbados, learn about its history, and enjoy its culture-both unique music and art.
Many visitors to Barbados enjoy spending their winter holidays, honeymoons, and romantic wedding anniversaries on the island.
